Few things tug at my heart strings like watching the sun set over a calm sea. It’s a feeling I can’t completely explain – a combination of peace, calmness and a sense that the world might still be okay after all. Lagos might be one chaotic city but sometimes it reveals it’s true beauty – usually at the most unexpected moments; like this golden sunset on the coastal horizon. I hadn’t come with the intention of taking this shot – if anything, I was in a hurry to get to an appointment – but seeing this sight…..it was something I had to capture, something to be saved, something to be treasured.
